I have a buddy debating 2305 vs. 2520. We can't find a dealer that has both. Does anybody have pics of them side by side?

Pro cons, etc, etc.

Thanks,
D.

I have a 2305 that I am happy with, but my two biggest complaints are the uncomfortable seat and the lack of position control on the 3pt. hitch. I didn't understand the significance of these when I was looking at small tractors.
If the 2520 has a better seat and position control, I wouldn't give the 2305 a second look.
Just my opinion.

I just bought the 2520 this past friday and have put 10 hours on it already. It is a very capable machine. I started out seriously considering the 2210 and then the 2305. I went bigger due to the advice on this site (and bigger=better gene also help me decide). I am glad I went with the 2520, I would've been dissappointed with the 2305. I just finished moving a 2' x 25' oak tree that fell last year. Used the FEL to push it about 75' to my burn pile. Powerful little tractor!!
A lot really depends on the use for the tractor. Really need to consider needs (and budget) when looking for a tractor

Think the 2305 ROPS is probably fixed. This was the case with the 2210.

Think the 2305 has the hydraulic cooler fan underneath that can get damaged in rough terrain or when brush hogging even in smooth terrain.

Think the 2520 has position control and a suspension seat of some sort. It's also direct injection. It's also around $5k more. The upcoming 2320 is a closer tractor to the 2305, sorta similar to the difference between the 2210 and the 4010 and 4110. The 4000s were a little heavier duty but not in hp. Be about the same for the 2305 vs. 2320, when it comes out. The 2520 is more like the 4115, which also was around $5k more than either the 2210 or 4010.

There are pics of these, not side by side in here. Just search on "2305" or "2520" and you'll find plenty.

Thanks for the info, still looking for side by side pics to compare the sizes. All the dealers around here have one or the other but not both at the same time.

I don't know the mower/turning radius of the 2520, but that is very important to me. The 2305 turns extremely tight and has good mowing width range with the 62"MMM. The biggest limiting point on the tractor is the ROPS. I absolutely HATE it. It limits every single thing I do on the machine. I don't know the differnce in price either, but I would add the price of an adjustable ROPS to the 2305 when comparing if it were me.
