Looking to buy either a 2520 w/FEL & BH or 2320 w/FEL & BH. I am trying to justify (to myself) paying the extra 2G for the 2520!! I am aware the the 2520 has more hyd power than the 2320, but will it be a noticable difference in ocassional use. Will be using the tractor for driveway maintenence (gravel), digging drainage ditches, removing small stumps, and any other honey-do's that come up around the house.

This topic has been around the block a number of times, I posed the same question myself. I know from personal experience since I've owned both: spend the extra money first, although you'll never realize how much of a difference there is that way.

Scroll down a bit to yesterday's posts and you will get an ear full. About the same subject line as yours.

The best way to describe it is if you got the money, Buy the 2520. Not for the extra Hp, Although that alone might sway some. The loader is quicker in dump times and has a far better "feel" More control. 2520 has a dual pump system rather than a single in the 2320. Means less bogging down and better control. the 2520 has a dampened metal platform while the 2320 is plastic. Obviously larger tires in the rear and a different rear end configuration. The 2520 has been slated for a more commercial use while the 2320 is more residential. That said, the extra dollars spent are so well spent.

Very well said. JC

Danilo could not say it any better. Very solid advice.

Look on the postive side, 2320 or 2520 you will end up with a great machine.

Either machine cost a nice amount, will the extra 2k really kill you on a 15k plus investment? I doubt it, so myself along with others have pointed out the 2520 does give you alot of extras for the 2k difference.

I went with the 2520 and I am pretty happy. Once again both great machines that will last a long time. Make sure you invest your time before your money and you will be good.

I tested the 2305, 2320 and 2520 and then had all 3 lined up side by side. I bought the 2320.

The difference in price was about $2500 between the 2320 and 2520.

The $2500 would have bought me:

2.5 more hp
somewhat quicker hydraulics (i operated both machines), larger pump
2.2 more inches of wheelbase
an operators platform with a significant hump (2320 has flat operators station which is great because I have big feet)
1 gallon more fuel capacity
205 more pounds of weight

Same 3 pt hitch lift capacity
Same 2 range hydro trans
Same drawbar tongue capacity (562lbs)
Same electrical system
Same axle capacity, both front (1940lbs) and rear (2426lbs)
Same ground clearance

When I compared the specs, operated both machines and lined'em all up side by side I quickly realized that the $2500 could be better spent on attachments:D rather than 2.5 more hp, a larger hydro pump and a gallon more fuel capacity.

Whatever you decide you cannot go wrong. They are both great machines.
HAve fun shopping.

The HP alone and more torque would help a decision. The two machines, while look similar are really quite different. I had both home on the range for a demo and the 2520 kicked the 2320's "three point hitch". That said, the extra $$ is well spent. Now, if you don't got the $$ then get the 2320.

Bye the way, specs are overated. My old Kubota specs a hundred lbs less in loader capacity, but the deere could not lift a sizeable rock. Had to go and start up the Kubota...................
