2520 john deere tractor

I have a 2520 john deere it will run for a few minutes and then under load will quit. Put to full throttle and will start . Put under load again and will quit with some white smoke coming from exhaust 15 to 20 secs later .
Any idears. Thanks

You have a Water Seperator (#9) and a Fuel Filter (#23).

When did you last clean the WS and replace the FF?

Yup, sounds like a fuel "supply" problem.. start w/ filters..
