rtm038,

Congratulations, she looks great! I think you'll be pleased with your selection.

You might think about switching the rear wheels to the wide position for more stability. I think Deere recommends this for tractors with loaders on them.

Best of luck with your machine.

Have fun.

Know what you mean Gizmo. I have a sign I now use when I raise the ROP's inside the garage. The sign clips onto the steering wheel so I won't forget and back out of the garage with the ROP's up and tear the garage door down on top of my head again!

Thanks!

The tires are pretty far outside the fenders already. I guess this is not the "wide" position?

rt,

You can tell they are in the narrow position because the inner portion of the wheel (near the lug nuts) is convex. If you switch the wheels side-to-side, the center will be concave and gains you an inch or so of width.

I'm kind of surprised the tires clear the backhoe foot platform on the narrow setting. They must be really close to the corners.

Oh, O.K. I'll have to check that out.

Congratulations,

Great looking machine. I'm still impressed with the power of the 46 backhoe.
Enjoy!!

What is the "Thermos" like thing mounted to the ROPS? I've seen this before, but mine doesn't have this.
Anyone know?

congads on the sweet machine, you'll love it. The ROPS can be easily forgotten, and I do the WRONG thing.....I never put it up.

RE: thermos - It's for the owner's manual. I can just see somebody driving along, opening the "thermos", getting the manual out and reading it while brush hogging or something.

Lawyers gone wild....again.

Put some ice in the manual holder "thermos", drop in a drink and a zip locked sandwich and you have your lunch in the field with you. Works great!
