2520 hood latch

Has anybody had their hood latch become inoperable. I have lubed it, liquid wrench it, forced it, penetrating oil'ed it and now to no avail, it won't open. I have removed the two bolts holding it on to the frame but unable to free it. Any ideas? Called the dealer and basically was told good luck. Maybe have to cut a hole in the screen to reach the latch, but I really don't want to do that. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hiya,

I had a stuck latch on hood the other day, hit it with some PB, let it sit for an hour, came back at it with a long bar and a dead blow mallet, snaked the bar up to the tab, gave it about 5 solid wacks with the mallet, it opened. IIRC, the 2520 latch lifts up to release, if you take the loader and any weights off, you "should" be able to slip a bar in to get it.

Fixed it. Spayed down the latch agian. Let it sit for a day. Still frozen. Applied a little love via a5 ft .
Long post hole tamper as a lever and Yep yep it opens.
