2520 front attachment support install question

I just switched out my 2210 for a 2520. The new machine was delivered without the front attachment support plates installed. It looks like I need to remove the hood guard spacers and install the plates in their location. The manual is silent and I just want to make sure I have figured this out correctly. Thanks for the help.
