I 'm a little confused (however, my wife will tell you this is normal). I did my 2520 initial 50 hour oil change 2 or 3 weeks ago. I let it warm up a little, and drained it into my big pan. Now keep in mind I did this WITH my 46BH attached, it drains DIRECTLY over the BH sub-frame cross member (thanks JD). So I had to wipe up a lot of oil from the BH sub-frame and threw away somemore on the newspapers I put down on the garage floor. Anyway, when I dumped the old oil into a container I got at least 3.5 QTs into it and still had a little more left in the drain pan.
And, to finally make my point here, I poured 3 new Qts (as my owners manual instructs) into the engine, waited a few minutes, and could barely see any on the dipstick. I put another 1/2 qt in and still not even 1/4 up the dipstick marks. So I ended up pouring the entire gallon into it and finally got it to the same dipstick level as before the change. Good thing I bought the gallon instead of 3 individual quarts the manual says.

So the bottom line here is that the 2520 seems to have a 4 quart capacity NOT 3 quarts as in the owner manual. Anyone else notice this??

Must be something about the 2000 series. On my 2320 the hydraulic fluid quantity was off by half a gallon.

Just the other day as a matter of fact :) my 4100 was exactly 2 qts, my 2520 is exactly 4, but the manual says 3 but you need 4 - go figure
Had the dealer do the hydrolic because I didnt want 6-7 gallons to deal with

Same thing for me - 4 quarts and the hydraulic fluid was off too. It is frustrating that the manual for the 2520 is so inaccurate. I just kept checking the dipstick and the hydraulic viewing window - although with the low viscosity hydraulic fluid it is harder to see in the window then the red original hydraulic fluid. My primary air filter was filthy so I replaced that as well.
