2518 48" is eating belts what should I look for at 200 hours bearings look good.

Which side of the belt does it eat up first the vee or flat? If it's tearing up the flat side check the idler on the tensioner. If it's the vee side check the center spindle. Also with deck at the height you cut at look at the belt alignment on the pulleys to see if its rubbing the side of the belt on the flat idler flanges.

when you say the pto belt i assume that you mean the one that goes from tractor to deck? You may have the routing on the belt wrong.......i could be chaffing on something along the way..............check out your owners manual to make sure you have it right......good luck....Don

I had that problem on my 2518-44. I had to have the the pulley's that are mounted on the front of the tractor replaced.
Also make sure you have the "twist" coming from the pto to the front pulleys correct.
