Here's how electrical has been for mine
Tractor Electrical parts still original from factory - starter ( have lubed it and cleaned brushes up), ignition switch, clutch switch ,brake lite switch, block heater, alternator, regulator.
i recently wired up 2 12volts in parallel from pull and save ( $16 each:laughing
not identical units either- so much for non matched batteries destroying themselves..
Even still using the original wire wrapped around the rebuildable fuses.
Electrical parts that have failed or been physically damaged and been replaced in the 20 + years of use
1 water temp gauge $8
2 amp meter $8
3 batteries 2- 6 volts replacements for series set up then 1 new 12volt by itself and
then finally 2 used 12 volts wired in parallel aprox. total $280
4 one headlight- branch attack broke the glass $ 36
5 both front turn signals 2@ 11.00 ea. $ 22
6 rear turn signals used trailer lights free from friend- so not sure on price $25
$379 total
If the tractor was in a warmer climate and had been stored inside the batteries likely would have lasted longer.
Also this machine has only spent 3 years (winters only) of its life under any kind of cover.
Other chinese tractor owners have fared as well. They can be great bargains...
Someday I plan on seeking out a small 20- 28 hp chinese tractor for my 3rd tractor Foton , Jinma ??
 for satisfied chinese tractor owners
