23C Injection Pump Mounting Gasket

I'm installing a new Lucas/CAV injection pump on a Ferguson TO35 Standard 23C diesel and found that a mounting gasket was not included. Can a mounting gasket be made from paper gasket material or any of the form-a-gasket products?

Home made paper gasket would be far better than any liquid, since you might just want to loosen and rotate the pump a bit at some time in the future. Hard to do if it's stuck tight with some sort of goop which will undoubtedly leak if disturbed.

I recently used rubber gasket material to cut my own gasket when I worked on my injection pump (checked to ensure it was safe for use with fuel/diesel). Bought it in a small roll at a local auto parts store. I think they all carry it. Was simple and worked perfectly.
