Yanmar FX24D replaced with Massey GC2400
Finally got around to finishing the 2360 set up. It took about 6 hours. We had a 1 3/4 inch snow Thursday, so thought it best to get it ready.

A note for those of you who have gravel/stone drives, the feet may be too short. I went through two shear bolts in first pass of drive from stones jamming fan. My deet are as low as they can go, and I have a washer between the foot and frame on the top bolt. That tilts the foot back to get an extra 1/8 inch lift. I might shop around for taller/longer versions.

Anyone have any ideas?

It is frozen now, but not too deeply. We live in So MD, and ground may never freeze or stay frozen. It's pretty common for us to have storms that start or end with rain/sleet. It's also common for us to get dumped upon once or twice a year, or have have a year when there's no more than the 1 3/4" per storm we just received.

See my post a few years ago, has worked well since, blower housing has been scarred up due to county grader leaving gravel/stones mixed in with the snow (not my gravel!) at end of drives.
This will leave some snow over the gravel and cover the gravel so it doesn't pick up, don't try to remove every flake of snow, then you will run into gravel again!

IIRC where the sub-frame connect to the blower you can change the blower angle of attack several degrees. Angle the blower back slightly may help but overall I have the same problem, the stock shoes are small (sink into softer stuff easily) and don't offer quite enough height adjustment for gravel roads. The main issue is the uneven nature of gravel roads are often high centered and when the blower shoe straddle the the high points your blower becomes a grader. To help with this I fabricated a center shoe for the blower which definitely works great for helping to float the blower but at the expense of a much messier looking job. I'm just starting my second season and have paid special attention to the grading the road to eliminate, as much as possible, any high spots and areas of loose non-compacted stone.

Here's the link to a thread with pictures of the third central shoe.

Well, this is embarrassing! After looking at the pics, I have my skids on backwards. Will, get back after changing them in the next few days.
