I am looking at two different aftermarket backhoes. Woods is one of them. My question is what is better; one that uses the tractor hydraulics or a pto powered with a pto pump? Also what is better mounting wise; the three point mount or subframe mount were the lowering arms attach?

You might get more responses if you post this in the A"ttachments" section.

By the way I don't have one, but I'm going to guess most people will recommend the woods. They are engineered better and you can get a subframe to fit most new tractors.

Subframe mount is the way to go as for the hydraulics I suppose it would depend on if the tractor system had enough PSI and capacity to handle the BH or not.

stay away from a 3 point BH on a BX2350 .
That is a very dangerous combination .
People have been crushed to death with it.
If you wanted a b h why didn't you go with the BX24?
You might be able to trade the bx2350 in on a bx24 for less than the cost of adding a BH to the Bx2350.

If you finance an after market BH for the 2350 there will be finance charges on a hefty priced BH but there is no finance charge on the lower priced BX24 BH.

I am going to the Kubota dealership on Wensday to talk to the salesman who sold me the 2350. I am definately going to look into all options before I do anything.

I just did some guesstimating and came up with.

After market BH $5000 finance charge $1050 total $6050.$168 for 36 months.
BX24 $6000 and your tractor $142 for 42 months.
Bx24 $7000 and your tractor $166 for 42 months.

MF GC2310 with BH $6000 and your tractor $100 for 60 months.
MF GC2310 with BH $7000 and your tractor $116 for 60 months.
MF GC2310 with BH $8000 and your tractor $133 for 60 months.

I just wanted to pass on the info. My dealer called me yesterday and told us that Woods now has a subframe made for the BX2350. I did not get a chance to speak to them but my fiancee did. He said it was about 4500 to 5 thousand total for installation. I am hoping this was the subframe and the hoe and hydraulics. Hope this helps everyone out there.
