Hi Folks,

I was using my 2305 to spread some dirt around this weekend. It was the first time I actually got to give the 2305 and FEL a real workout.

I noticed that when I was backblading with the FEL that if I was trying to drop the bucket more while in backing up it didnt respond. I had to let off on the reverse pedal, hit the joystick again while not moving and then it dropped (lifting my front tires off the ground).

Is this normal? I guess I am used to using bigger machines that probably have bigger hydraulic pumps or something. I thouht you would be able to control the bucket while in motion.

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks...

2305JD,

It's true that these machines don't have the most hydraulic flow, but it would seem to me that you shouldn't have to stop to get your bucket to raise the tractor up (I don't have to with my 2210/210). Maybe you should talk to your dealer and see what he thinks.

2305JD,

I was backblading with my 2305 yesterday and was able to lower the bucket while backing up without a problem. This was my first time backblading and spreading dirt with my 2305 and I was very impressed with it's performance. I even figured out how to lift and curl which I previously thought it couldn't do, but I just needed to find the sweet spot.

I would try it out again today and if it still doesn't work call your dealer.

I agree with wxboy. I've only used my 2305/200CX for a couple of hours, but had no problem backblading or lowering the bucket.
Maybe you did this:
If you move the control way forward, the loader goes into "float" position. You can still curl or dump, but you can't lower the bucket any further unless you take it out of float.
Hope you solve the problem, I would call my dealer. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

Thanks for all the input. I know I did not put it into float position because as soon as I let off on the reverse pedal I pushed down a bit more and then it repsonded. If it was in float I would have to pull it back and puch down again.

I'm calling my dealer now.

I'll post how I make out.

Thanks again...

JD2305:
I was checking "old" threads and came across this one. What did you find out from your dealer?

My dealer simply told me to cycle the loader up down curl in /out a few times to bleed out any air that might be in the system.

It seems to work better now but still not like bigger tractors I have used in the past.

Thanks...
