2305 and subsoiler

I'm afraid that the "yellow" full size subsoiler that TSC has would be too large for a 2305. It is about 25" from the tip to the lower pins. I looked at it for use on my larger B2620 Kubota, and decided that I probably just couldn't get it far enough off the ground for transport. I ended up buying the "yellow" middlebuster, and that has worked fine. Now I just need to make a chisel point for it.

I bought the TSC subsoiler to try out and am a little dubious of it, haven't tried it out yet but I am thinking it is too short to do much good. Most of the subsoilers I have used in the past (in the southeast) ran about 24" deep to break thru the hardpan.

I think this thing will only run about 12 to 15" deep on my tractor.

What size tractor do you have? I would like to try one too, but as mentioned, was concerned about lift height.

I'm not sure how this old thread got revived.

I bought the subsoiler from TSC. This is the long shanked, chisel pointed, 3-point hitch attachment. On my 2305, it clears the ground by about 2-3 inches on level ground. I had to be careful transporting it, because on uneven ground, the point would would hit even with the 3-point hitch fully raised.
I did use it to ditch from the house to the tractor shed. Had to make 2-3 passes because of roots and rocks, had to use a narrow trench shovel to clear the dirt out before laying the cable in. I didn't try the cable feeder idea.
