2305 3ph control

Recently purchased a 2305 and started using the 3 point hitch for my new rototiller. Question concerns control lever, seems that it takes more force to put it in the down position that I feel it should. When lifting and the automatic kickoff returns it to neutral it seems ok, but then when I want to lower the implement it has a hard detent feel to it also the same feeling when trying to partially raise the implement.

Is this normal? New dealer not much help over the phone.

On mine the detent effort is the same in both directions. I'd say there's something wrong. Have you checked to see if there is something bent or interfering with the travel of the lever?

I've noticed on my 2305 the lever will rub on the seat if I'm sitting slanted towards that side. Otherwise, the detent feels the same in both directions.
