In case anyone is interested JD has replaced the original 22NF battery that was causing problems in the compact tractors. My new tractor has the updated 22NF with an overflow tube that runs out the bottom of the tractor.
The battery still says 22NF but it also has a number on it LVA15187.
While I have always had good luck with Deere batteries in my machines the leaking 22NF was a pain.
One more thing before you go out and buy a new battery because you think yours is bad make sure to check the voltage at the battery terminals before pulling the battery.
