224t billhook problem

I am haveing a problem with the twine hanging up on the billhook. It is knoting, but the billhook will not let go of the knot. It is only doing it on the flywheel side, sometimes both, but usually the flywheel side. On occasion it does get the urge to let go of the knot, 1 out of 20 bales. It took me 3 hours to bale 40 bales. I bought this bailer last yr used, it did not come with an owners manual. Has anyone had this problem? I am ready to push it over the hillside. I have created some colorful 4 letter words, and that has not helped either. LMAO!! Any suggestions welcome, thank you in advance for your help...

It's been alot of of years since I've been around a baler, the last one was a 24T. Make sure the billhooks are free from all rust. Take some emorycloth or sand paper and polish good. Alot of times when they sat and got even a little rust on them the twine wouldn't slip off of them. Also the tension might not be correct.

i took some fine sand paper to them didnt seem to help any.it did this a few time to me last year but for the age of the baler i just over looked it(i only bale approx.800bales a yr.) and on top of that it sat in a shed for 10 yrs. is there any chance that the twin could be bad i left it in the baler over the winter (twine looks fine) would switching to plastic twine help????
