2210 water pump change

Had a less than ideal day tilling on Thursday when my water pump seized. Got another one on the way and the old one already removed. Can someone tell me the torque specifications for the mounting bolts? Hopefully I'll be up and running by mid week. Thanks!!!

This site gives the torque on bolts of various sizes and hardness. I found it helpful and hope it will help you as well.

That is a good reference chart but it says not to use these values for gasket joints which is what I'm dealing with.

Eric,I have a 1610d and the closest Manual ,the 226d.It gives as far as I see no specific torque setting when putting the pump on.I just received a new one today and as soon as I get the head out of the machineshop next week I will instill it .If anyone knows of a specific torque setting I'd like to hear also.

I always tighten the first bolt until it either breaks or strips, note the torque that was required and reduce by 15% on the rest.

I doubt there is a torque spec on the water pump bolts as it is a gasket joint. When I did mine I used a 1/4 ratchet and socket and tightened to what my calibrated arm called tight enough. Maybe one of the dealer types has a more specific suggestion?
