Earlier this spring E-Bay had John Deere discontinued seats for sale that were used on X series Garden tractors for the
European Market. I bought one and installed it on my 2210.
These seats look like the seats used on the larger compacts
with the exception that the weight adjust is in metric. I had to
take off the rubber accordion skirt on the bottom which
rubbed on the 3 point lever, drilled two new holes in the suspension of the seat and two holes on the tractor mount.
Seat suspension is adjustable spring and gas shock. I had to
tighten the seat height adjustment down as much as possible
so the seat didn't stand so tall when it was empty, but still
sits about 4 inches higher than the original, about the same
as the original when you sit on it and compress the suspension. I took the ROP off because of low branches, don't
have a FEL just a snowblower and 62 MMM.
