Didn't mean to alarm anyone, no the whining isn't that loud. I'm just a huge advocate of hearing protection while operating any machine. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I'd rather wear hearing protection now than hearing aids later, wouldn't you?

I also notice some extra noise with the 2210 compared to my old 445. I think the ROPS is transmitting some of the noise right up behind your head while the 445 has no ROPS. The ROPS bolts directly to the hydrostat housing and makes it act like a speaker. At least that's my theory.
