Started on another post on a another subject I had my right front drive shaft seal leak so badly it was literally dripping oil from the spindle. I don't know if anyone else has had issues but I thought I'd post this as future reference just in case. The location of the leak became evident by a white oil sludge slick on my sweaty wet garage floor the first day it warmed up above freezing here in the arctic north. All I had to do to locate the leak was remove the tire. photos for your enjoyment...

my left axle is leaking, 210 hours, any tips you can give? did you replace both seal and sleeve? thanks.

Mine haven't started leaking yet but what does bother me is that this axle is not vented and it builds significant pressure which can't be good for the seals. whenever I take the fill cap off it blows oil out. I know Henri said he drilled a small hole in his the relieve the pressure. I think I'm going to drill and tap for a 1/8" barb and run the hose up under the hood because I occasionally have my axle under water.

Mego, Please let us know what it takes to change the seal.
