Anyone know of a cleanable air filter for the 2210? Construction at my new home is very dusty and I have replaced the filter once a month at $16.50/filter. I was hoping there would be a foam type sleve that would go over the original JD filter.

Thanks guys

Bob,

Just curious, but are you changing the filters because they look dirty (not saying that they're not) or because the "flow indicator" says to?

The reason I ask, is that in my 3 machines, I've never seen the gauge move. Maybe I change the filters too often? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi JDFanatic,

The 2210 does not have a flow guage that I can see. I tap the filter lightly after taking it out and the dust just makes piles....yes they are dirty. We have new home consturction going on and it is very sandy/gravely....I am always filthy afterwards.

Maybe just part of the cost of doing business. I sincerely doubt there is an aftermarket unless you can find a similar Yanmar part. By the time you find it, hopefully, your turf will be coming in and the traffic will drop. Isn't there a "dust unloading valve" on that housing? Is it functioning?

Ditto, use an air hose, blow OUT from the clean side. Growing up on a farm, we did this with our full-size JD farm tractors, 300-400 hours per year or more in all kinds of dusty conditions, and we rarely replaced the filters, would just continue to clean them.....
