Good Day,

Currently in the midst of a dilemma trying to decide between the purchase of two Land Pride core aerators. I’ve done comprehensive market research (and own a Turftime Estate 54” 3-point aerator) and have narrowed my choices down to two units: CA1564 and a CA2560

My current unit isn’t heavy enough and won’t support the amount of weight required to core aerate damp clay soil.

I like the CA2560 because it is well built and has an optional OEM water tank weight kit which can be filled to suit soil conditions and it is already decently heavy (464#). I could add water tanks to the CA1564 to boost its effectiveness.

Thoughts from the group - given the 2025R has limited vertical 3-point capability, am I in for trouble with the size (it is taller) of the CA2560? Note: I’m looking to get a 2038R or a 3046R within the next two years if all goes well and really would like this aerator purchase to be my LAST for some time.

Looking for any input and if anyone else with a 2025R (2019) runs aeration equipment.

Also anyone that has either a ca25 or ca15 series aerator and wants to give feedback I’m all ears!

I like the CA2560 also due to the initial weight and water tank. I am also looking at a Ryan Lawnaire Towed Core Areator, comes in both 36" and 48" widths. I need to core my lawn, which is 80% clay and 20% sand, just so the water does not pond up after rains. Towed Areators are more easier for compact tractors.
