2020D piviot pin

On my 2020d I have developed a little play in the pivot pin. Neither my parts or service manual show detail of the pivot in the fromt diff. Is the pivot lubed from the diff oil or is it a separate cavity. I was wondering if I could install a grease fitting to get some extra lube in there but I do not want to take the thing apart to see. There is a plug in the housing to one side of the pivot. I have taken it out but can not tell anything usefull by probing the hole.

You can't go wrong by filling that hole with 90W, in fact I would use 140W.

The plug on my little 1110d was the axle vent. My tractor had the pivot pin exposed to the axle housing and it was splash lubricated. Try doing a search in this forum. I've posted twice on the steps I took to repair this pin.

Is the motion front to rear or side to side? If it is front to rear, there are shims that can be removed to fix it. I have a stack of them I have taken out of tractors I service.

There are 2 bushings & 2 seals. It is lubericated from the inside. The plug is 1/8th PT.
