2020 reverser

I have a 2020 JD and it won't go into forward some times but when it does it seems to hold good till I go to reverse and back agin. Can anyone help

First things to check are trans oil level, trans filter and the internal filter screen.

I agree what Zebrafive stated plus checking shift valve pressures plus looking at shift linkage for wear.

The filter us new and I followed pressures and it's low on the forward side of the valve under the right step and reverse pressure is up does that indicate bad valve spool or seals or forward clutch pack

The down side to a hyd reverser is there are many places that can cause low pressure. The control valve spools or gaskets could be leaking or the clutch pack seals. I suggest you purchase a "Technical Manual CD-ROM TM1044CD 2020 Tractor" if you don't already have one.

Thank you Jim I have a manual and it gets me to checking pressures but not the main cause of the low pressure so I guess I'm going with the least costly and labor intensive first being the control valve on the outside of tractor
