2018 RAM vent

That creates a large vacuum (sucks). GM does the same with recalls, sends out the notice but it states don't take it to the dealer, wait till we notify you we have a solution. Not a safety issue but GM has supply problems as well. The heated steering wheel switch went out on my wife's 2025 Tahoe. They have to replace the whole steering wheel. It is back ordered with no date available. Guess they got a bad batch at the factory and lots of folks are having issues.

Sorry if I missed it, but what is the issue with the 2018 Ram 2500? Does it need a replacement module or parts that are not available?

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the same brake problem, its in the bosch pump (they fail).

So when you're driving down the road all you hear is ding ding ding reminding you. I still drive mine everywhere and the brakes still work.
I even towed a trailer and they work, but the noise is a drag. I only have 28,000 miles on the truck.

They also want me to take it in so they can reprogram the computer so that is uses more DEF fluid, I told them to take a hike.
That recall is a 67A update

Another case of the consumers getting screwed over. There should be laws to protect us from this donkey dust ! They should have to provide you an equivalent vehicle until their problem is fixed. If it was me, I would continue to drive it until they can fix the problem.

It is just a 2018 2500 issue now from what they are saying. It seems they have the other years and models fixed.

I would be happy if they would fix it, but until then, just get me an equivalent vehicle to use. I am really only asking for exactly what I paid for, nothing more.

No, its not. All three of the HD truck manufacturers are having supplier problems...but Ram seems to be the worse.

I own two HD Rams so I'm on the Ram forums all the times and lately the number of complaints with the newest Rams have grown exponentially. For one, after many many years of having Cummins engines built with solid lifters for some silly reason they are now made with hydraulic lifters and these new engines seem to be having teething problems. And the problems with electronics are myriad. The latest - apparently there is some kind of sensor on the rear axle that goes bad. When it goes out the transmission will refuse to go into Park position. And if the transmission can't go into Park, the engine cannot be shut off. Owners are having to pull the battery cables off the batteries to shut the trucks down. And they are being told that those sensors are on backorder - with a 4 month leadtime!

Reading about all the problems makes me so happy I own older Rams. They've been essentially trouble free.

Geez that has to be great for the diode pack and voltage regulator in the alternator as well. I agree, Come on RAM Get Your S together.
We like our older RAMs but they have their own issues like the TIPM , cracking dashes, stuck power seat regulators, recalled air bag inflators and somewhat cheap and air vent actuators that break, but agree the main things, engine -drivetrain are solid.

I purchased a 2018 RAM 2500 truck brand new in 2018. However, for the past year, it has been considered unsafe to drive due to a faulty hydraulic brake control module. This issue is currently under recall, and despite having only 14,000 miles on it, it has become a useless driveway ornament.

Not available at any junk yard?

Somebody must have crashed an '18 by now, and as long as the crash wasn't because of a bad brake control module it could be a good part.

The only sense I can make of an electronic brake control module is that it controls the anti-skid/spin function? If true this should NOT affect being able to drive the pickup?

If one is told to NOT drive the rig it seems to me that it in place because the lawyers said it had to be stated that way. This way there isn't a new commercial by law firms asking if your brakes failed to call their hot line.
