2014 emax 22
New to site and was wondering if someone can help me figure out why my 2014 mahindra emax22 is creeping forward when my foot is off the pedals. Looks like when I step on the reverse, it "offsets" the forward movement, thus transmission seems to be stopped. Apologies if not using the right terms. Love this thing though!!!!!Hope it is an easy fix that I can do. Although under warranty, don't want to haul it back to dealer for something simple.

Welcome to TBN!

Your HST go pedals operate much like most other hydraulic valves. It sounds like it just isn't centering properly. Most have some sort of adjustment. Most of the operator's manuals have that sort of adjustment information. Perhaps someone else will have better info specific to the unit, but I don't think anything is "broke" as it is actually sorta common to see on many HST machines of many brands.

Thanks Sysops for the keyword "hst" to refine my search and found a post for 2615 hst adjustment with diagram. Hopefully its similar to emax. I'll check it out tomorrow. I love machines that makes my life easier!!

I'll 2nd all of the above. My Max 22 does that too. I'm used to it so I don't care anymore. You should really set the brake when you get off the tractor anyway. Other than that I really never use the brake. I'd take it to the dealer for its first service and have them take a look at it. My dealer picks up warranty work no charge. Might want to ask them to pick it up.

I don't believe that the adjustment on the eMax is like the 2615. I haven't adjusted one recently, but I believe there is a nut to loosen and an accentric to turn to make the adjustment. I hope this helps.

Lawallstractor you are right. Diagram looked like it was for a rocker type versus the side by side. Checked the manual too and only has something for brake adjustment..no hst. Dealer going to charge me 80 to pickup or come out for warranty work. So still holding out for someone to give me a little guidance and hopefully written diagram for visual. Use this a lot in close quarter work and want it to return to neutral when take my foot of as intended for a little piece of mind. Thanks in advance. Thanks all so far for the responses.

I can't tell you which way to turn the acentric, but I would try turning it one way and try it. If you the problem gets worse, go the other way, and by the way, I can tell you a little bit of a turn makes a big difference, but if you play with it a bit you should be able to get it. Good luck.

Lawallstractor can you send pic of what a centric looks like? Thanks again for all the help!

Problem solved!! Thank Casey from Campway of Santa Rosa! If you are interested, all you need to do is adjust turnbuckle of control rod assembly, between fan and hst pedals, until tractor does not move anymore when you take your foot off pedals. I've attached picture for your reference. Took 5 minutes and saved me 120 bucks to transport back to dealer. Great dealer support! Thanks to forum for help.

That's great! They generally try to make that sort of thing easy to ID and adjust. Thanks for reporting back and following up with pictures for future users. Most people don't think or realize what a huge help it is to report their findings.

Enjoy your weekend!

I learned something, as I have never made the adjustment on an eMax, but have on the larger TYM models that use the accentric to make the adjustment.

Any more info on this? I was about to adjust mine because my tractor will creep forward, but then randomly it won't. It seems like the problem is actually that the valve is not always returning to center. What is odd is, even if I use reverse and let off it will creep forward. Sometimes, for maybe 20 minutes at a time it will work properly and center-stop. This is a 2014 bought emax22 hst.

I had an issue with my emax that was caused by a c clip on the pedal linkage. The clip came out of the groove on the pedal pivot shaft allowing the linkage to come off the guide that returns the pedals to the neutral position. Easy fix though, might be worth checking.

If your E max has a backhoe and loader you must make sure the frame bolts are tight. Creep adjustment is made by the link between the pintel lever and the pedal linkage. You must remove top tunnel cover to access linkage.

Had the "creep" on my 2014 emax 22 and adjusted it numerous times. However using the backhoe for a period of time would still cause the drive wheels to creep despite all the adjustments. For a different problem I had the tractor looked at by the dealer. They happen to ask me if I had experienced creeping and the tractor came back with what they called a "neutral kit" they said would correct this problem. They said emax's with backhoe had to have this retrofit. Haven't used the BH enough yet to see if the creeping is totally resolved but you may want to check it out with your own dealer.

Any chance you have the part number of that return spring? Mine flew off yesterday.
