2014 BX 1880

There is a 2014 Kubota BX 1880 with 148 hours for sale on C/L for $11,999. Included is a 48 inch mid mount mower, front end loader and a 50" front mount snow blower. How would you guys rate the buy? Is it a great buy, that I shouldn't pass up? Is it an average buy, that I shouldn't get too excited about? Or, is it a lousy buy that I should stay away from? Looks to be in great condition, but it's a 3 hour drive for me, so I'm only looking at pics. Any opinions?

Sounds a long way under retail given those attachments. Have you built on the Kubota configurator with all those options, to see what current list price is?

5 years and 148 hours is not much.

I didn't think the 80 series was out in 2014 - are you sure it's a BX1880 and not a BX1870? It does sound like a great deal, but with Craigslist a deal that's too good to believe sometimes shouldn't be believed.

You are absolutely correct. My bad. It is a BX 1870. I guess I had 1880 in mind after looking on the Kubota Build and Price site. I know what you mean about C/L. I think we've all had an experience or two with that site. But, this appears to be legit? It is advertised at a place of business.

Sometimes people price a machine to move. It's surplus to requirements and they want it gone. The interest free financing Kubota offers on new tractors makes it hard to move relatively new machines without a substantial discount - why would you want a used machine when you can have a new one and finance it? It's possibly a legit bargain, and so if it suits you then jump on it.

An 18HP machine is a little low HP for snow blowing. But it's better than a shovel.

My look at the configurator says $18K brand new for those options, that's assuming no hydraulic rotation or any other options. You'd maybe get 10% off that best case if you bought new, so it's at least $16.2K value. Yeah, $11K is a good price.
