Seems everyone is getting Cab Tractors.

When I bought mine I almost talked myself out of spending the extra money on a cab. But now that I have it, I'm really glad I got the cab, especially when the yellow jackets are buzzing around or its cold outside. And I love working while listening to sports talk on the radio.

Cold outside? In Texas??

I use over the ear earphones for combo noise reduction and to listen to radio or mp3s.

I do like the idea of a cab at times but I also like the unobstructed view with the open station. A sunshade is all we need up north for heat protection in the summer though I certainly have been chased off the tractor by wasps on more than one occasion so that part is appealing. Bottom line for me though is that I do a lot of work clearing heavy brush and trees so a cab would just be a vulnerability. If I did a lot of summer mowing down south, you can bet I'd have a cab too.

Yes, it does get cold here. :) Not like you guys have it, but too cold for me.

Also, we've had lots of mosquitos the last few summers and have had several outbreaks of the West Nile virus. Anything I can do to lessen my exposure to mosquito bites is a good thing. The cab will sure help for that.

Just an update. I have put about 20 hours on the machine since it arrived. I am really liking the cab, the heat actually runs me out and i have to put it on the half hot and half cold setting. I have used the backhoe to dig up 4 stumps from the backyard. I use the grapple at least every 2 weeks to gather up logs to cut for firewood. This attachment is key for picking and moving large logs in a pile and saves me lots of time. I used to use forks but all the logs you were picking up had to be balanced or they would fall off to the one side. We just got about 6" of fresh snow and I was able to use the snow blade with power angle and what a treat that was. I did not have to get out of the tractor until i was finished once i started. I was able to make angle adjustments on the fly to ensure the blade was level at all times and then adjust for the direction i wanted to push the snow. I am really enjoying the seat time and now just trying to think of more projects to log more hours.

Good update! How 'bout some snow blade moving pics?

I just noticed IT mentioned earlier that returning the backhoe return line to the reservoir instead of through the second QD remote is not necessary, and seems more like a recent fad. I ask, why would Kioti provide a kit to accomplish this task if there were no point in doing the return line in this fashion? The simple answer is they wouldn't. It serves the purpose of allowing greater flow and thus the benefit of keeping the hydraulic fluid cooler AND with higher flow rate more power is transferred to the hoe's functions. That's not a fad to me.:confused3:
As far as what Kubota does or not, I can't comment, and it is no concern to how my Kioti hoe functions.
