2011 Model 4520 Where is the 4520 Engine Sourced?

Hi All,

I am retiring the Ford 8N as I spend as much time maintaining/fixing as I do cutting grass and discing... The wife put her foot down and MADE me spend money!!! :laughing: There's a ton of landscaping I need to do and have slowly been renting excavators and loaders to get it done... at a snails pace. Eventually we also need to get our hard clay soil ready to plant vines.....

I found a slightly used (65 hours) 2011 JD 4520 53HP w/2.4L Turboed inline 4.

What little I can find online so far leads me to believe this is a domestically produced engine and not a Yanmar.

Anyone have better information or can point me in the right direction

It isn't a Yanmar, It is a Deere in house built engine

The 4520 has a Deere built engine. The new tier 4 series has a Yanmar engine. My 2009 4520 has about 1400 hours so far with no problems at all.
