A water pump is one of those devices that can fail tomorrow or in 20 years or never. Why fix what isn't broken?

I may leave the water pump alone for now because of the amount of work required to replace it.

But I may change the brake fluid.

I personally am not a fan of replacing stuff if it’s not broken. Some of the stuff you listed is a good idea, belts, hoses and fluids.

Im not a fan of the brake fluid flush and replacement unless it’s be contaminated. I have read different view points on this though.

Something not mentioned that I would do is grab a hose and do a water test, especially the back window.

Belts, hoses, fluids. Yep - good idea. I'm a believer of regular brake fluid and PS fluid changes too.

Water pump and thermostat - only if they go bad.

But you missed a small but important one: windshield wipers.

Many people over look changing the air in their tires and checking the blinker fluid.

No.... don't rip apart a perfectly functional water pump. You invite more reliability issues vs just waiting for a problem to arise first.

Any suggestions for a good set of hose clamp pliers that will reach into difficult places? There are two heater hoses coming into this from the top and another hose coming up from below. There's an ac line making access harder. I'm not seeing any easy way of getting to these spring clamps.
