2003 Z-Force

I just found this site and have been reading alot about ZTRs. I'm looking at purchasing a used 2003 44" Z-Force. Does anyone know if this machine has the same hydros as the current machines ? Also, it has the B&S engine. Anything that I should know or look for specifically. The machine looks very clean but it is hard to tell how much it has been used. The deck is in excellent condition and the rear tires appear to have about half of the tread left. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah same drive units, all the Z's we sold with the briggs have been problem-free. Good luck, they are great machines and should give you years of problem free service.

Thanks for the response. I went and picked it up this afternoon and cut a little grass with it. It has a rear bagger an a counterweight on the front. Hopefully, it will turn out to be a good mower. The levers seem to require more force that I imagined. Maybe it will just take a little getting used to and some lubricant on all of the connections.
