Price Check 2003 Price Change? When?

I'm planning on buying a tractor in the next 6 months - probably a JD4610 or 4710. My question is - when do tractor prices increase for a new model year - and does anyone know if there will be design changes for 2003? I'm assuming that since the 10 series was just launched this year there won't be significant changes for 2003 - but it can't hurt to ask.

I know in the car business prices change right about now and I know there are some rebates/deals out there for tractors - but cash will be a little tight until I finish my barn so I wouldn't mind waiting until the end of 2002 if it won't cost me much...

I expect the response to this post will be "buy it now" - but I wanted some facts to back that up...

Hi Bill...

I'd recommend you but it now. Simple fact is I've waited years to buy my 4710 and the prices have never come down. They have always crept higher with each passing year, albeit slower in some years than in others. So, I bought mine this past Spring and have never looked back....I'd say you should do the same as soon as you can financially do so. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
