Price Check 2001 JD 4400

HI, Looking at a JD 4400 Hydro with a Curtis Cab, heater and a JD 48 Backhoe. The tractor is owned by a small landowner and meter shows 330 hours. Asking price is $18,500. Tractor house has a few without the cab and BH for around $14,000 does the BH and cab add $4500? Noticed some slop in the bottoms pins of the BH but other than that it all looks to be in great shape.

Hate to sell the 950 but it is 12 years newer and a Hydro too.:cool2:

If you need the backhoe and want a cab I think that's a good deal. Does it have the original hour meter or has it been replaced? Does it have a loader? I'd use a loader way more than a backhoe.

How do some of these people only put 330 hours on their tractor in 13 years. I put over a hundred hours on mine this year just mowing the lawn once a week.

I had a 1987 JD 850 for about 6 years. I sold it last year and got a 2004 JD 4310. Much nicer tractor all around.

The a very reasonable price for the 4400 and implements...if you like it, don't hesitate too long or it'll be sold.

As far as the low hours...it is a bit surprising, but not that unusual. Local dealer has a 4300 (reverser transmission) and loader with 200 hours on it for $12K...wish I had the money!
