The trailer sounds like its very simular to my own... which I gave $1600 for, with decking that needed replaced. I would also grab that deal for $1000, dispite the tow vehicle issues. You could haul it uome empty with no issue!
Having the trailer sitting there may promt you to trade (up) in the tow vehicle world. You could likely sell/trade the Expi for a simular year F250/F350 crew cab truck with a gas motor that would haul people and tow the trailer. Put a topper shell on the back and you have the dry secure cargo area, only loss is 3rd row seating. Unless you have 6 kids like I do, I doubt you'll miss it.
