I have a landtrac 410dtc and the pto quit. Since the PTO switch has 2 positions, manual and independent. If the hydraulic don't build enough pressure to work on independent should the manual side still work off the transmission?

Not knowing about the landtrac I can not say for sure but I am pretty sure it uses the same clutch for both. The manual side usually means it is engaged until the switch is turned off. In this case it may mean the clutch will disengage with the transmission clutch but is still using the electric clutch to engage and disengage.

What have you done to figure out the hydraulic issue?

Here's the manuals I have found.
The parts manual is to large to upload.
I assume when the pto switch is in Independent it provides flow to #14 pto clutch pipe releasing the pto brake and turning the pto shaft.
The wiring on the pto switch has four wires
1 power or ground input not sure did not test for 12 volt power.
2 Independent
3 Manual
4 Off
When I turn on Independent the PTO solenoid opens and I have hydraulic flow to #14 pto clutch pipe but not sure if there is enough pressure.
But when I put the pto switch in manual it won't turn the pto either.
Thanks for the help 73

I would not think it would. From reading the manual you posted, in manual position it operates by using the foot clutch. But in reality it still uses the same electric over hydraulic clutch that it uses in independent mode. It probably is getting that done with the safety switch on the clutch.

Why do you think it is a hydraulic pressure problem? I would start with checking for power at the PTO switch. It could be a problem with a safety switch or a blown fuse.

Dad was using it and got in some taller stuff and it quit. I removed the pto switch and I disassemble the switch and cleaned the contact and tested it with a meter. The switch works I get 12 volts to the solenoid when in independent mode only. I disconnect the #14 pto clutch pipe see the video 20220413_160127_Trim.mp4. I took everything here

and put it in my ultrasonic cleaner. One thing I don't understand is how the brake release when in manual mode. The three point hitch arms will lift the backend of are one ton flatbed so I know the pump is good. Now if the Valve, Sequence or Valve, Reducing is bad, should the manual side of the pto switch still turn the pto. What I need is someone with a similar tractor to pull their fuse or disconnect the pto solenoid then see if the pto turns with the pto switch in manual mode. Also what turn on to pto light on the dash it's not turning on now either.

As K5 said, if it works in one of the modes, then it's not an hydraulic issue. It's for sure an electric issue somewhere.

It's not uncommon for the manual position have a switch for the clutch and another for the lift arms, so when you lift the 3 pt all the way up, it will shut the PTO off.

When I said it works in one mode I mean the pto solenoid has power and hydraulic fluid flows when turning the switch to Independent. I don't feel the pressure is enough to release the PTO clutch pack. If I discount the pto clutch pipe should it flow as if a open water hose or like a shower head? Also what tells the dash pto light to turn on? Does it get a signal from the pto switch or a internal switch that senses movement of the pto shaft.

Okay after researching I found # 5 & 3.View attachment 744223

So if I remove the pipe going to the ptoView attachment 744224 it should shoot out like a pressure washer correct?
Not necessarily as it's pretty much free flow without any restrictions to make it shoot everywhere. Specially considering that it's fed by the power steering pump which has a small displacement.

Figuring out the pressure is more important to troubleshoot your issues. If you could get a service manual so you could see exactly where are the test ports and the proper pressure values, that would be awesome.

I just saw the video you posted earlier. Missed that. Looks like good flow to me.
