1994 Ford 555D backhoe...problems

Lost all fwd/rev gears instantly...No weakness or nasty noises previously. All fluids are clean and in the right place,New filters etc....Seems electrical to me but tried eliminating all clutch switches on pedals and sticks one at a time.....What about fwd/rev lever .I know my MF tractors give trouble there occasionally..?

I'm not too familiar with ford backhoes...It's not my machine,It belongs to a guy i rent land off who is not machinery savvy and is self building a house so thought this might help him before he pays a dealer a fortune to look at it.....!Any body got one..!

My Cat 428c came with transmission disconnect switches on the gear lever and the loader joystick.

Both expired within the first couple years, finally came up with homemade switches.

My point is that it only takes one of those to be dicky and the machine wont move.

Oh and there's also a rocker switch on the dashboard, if you have one of those check that it hasn't been bumped.
