Price Check 1987 Case IH 585

Can anyone give me an idea of what a case ih 585 with a deluxe cab with air conditioning is worth , it has the high low 4 speed and about 5300 hours. It runs excellent and has 3 point , I believe the hp is about 52. I am considering selling it and just wanted an idea of value, there dont seem to be very many around, thanks, John

I have a Tractor Blue Book, it doesn't list a cab for '87, but does for '88 and shows only a 4WD w/cab for '86.

'86 4WD; ave trade, $6200; high trade, $8220; ave retail $13,460; high retail $15,810.

'88 2WD; ave trade, $5200; high trade, $6930; Ave retail, $11380; high retail, $13110.

This book was printed in '05, so this is just something to make you scratch your head.

Thanks Gene, I havent been able to find much info but I think it is a well built little tractor, I think it is made in England. The diesel purrs like a kitten

Is your tractor a 4WD? In what state is it located?

No, it is a 2wd and I am in South Dakota, I bought it at a county sale for 5200. It was a mowing tractor for the county

They were made in Doncaster, England on the old International design. They are tough tractors. I have a 385 which is rated at 35 PTO hp but is built on the same frame as yours and weighs about 4900#. The speed transmission is syncronized in all gears.

Just looked on Tractor House and they only have one with a cab and it also has a Case loader and only 1500 hours. Asking 17,500. My guess would be 10 to 12K.
