I have a 1980 b7100 the 3 pt lift is not working like it should the fluid level is ok but it does not want to lift with or without anything attached after a few seconds it will but not all the way up and it sounds like in the valve block area that the raise and lower handle is that you can hear fluid bypassing what could be the cause and whats the fix

I have a 1970 B6100 so our 3pt hydraulics are probably pretty similar. My 3pt lift seems weak also when I try to pull a fully loaded post hole digger out of the hole so I've looked at the parts diagram of the 3pt system in my owners manual.
In my case and yours, I suspect that the seal around the hydraulic piston that moves the 3pt is not sealing tightly. I haven't done it yet but it looks like a pretty simple repair in that access to the piston is via valve block which sits right under the rear of the seat.
