1972 Ford 2000 oil pressure switch

I know I'm gonna sound stupid but here goes My 1972 Ford 2000 diesel 3 cyl has not had any lights or gauges hooked up sense I got it so I bought a new wiring harness and oil pressure switch wire has a female spade terminal on it. The wire on tractor was just hanging down with bare wires like it had been pulled off I cleaned oil switch up and I cant figure out how to attach new harness to it. How is wire supposed to be hooked to it? thanks Kenny

Slide the female spade over the button on the switch. Spade will be 90* to the center axis of the switch.
