1950 Ford 8N - Fuel assembly.

I have a 1950 Ford 8N Tractor.
I've ordered a new in the box fuel assembly.

I have two questions:


1: When I remove the old fuel assembly from the tank, I wanted to put something on the threads,

like Teflon tape, Do they sell one that is use for a gas engine? If so what color is it?

2: Also when the gas tank is drained, how can I clean it out?

You can use regular teflon tape (it's pretty inert stuff) or a special sealant that's compatible with fuels. Your choice.The only drawback with tape is it often shreds a little on installation and some pieces can get loose but your sediment bowl assembly should have a filter ahead of the sediment bowl that would catch that stuff.
