GOOD NEWS-BAD NEWS !!
The 180 is still runng strong since the conversion---but one of the mufflers crapped out today ( less than 16 HRS. use ). I bought the aftermarket mufflers- FROM ACROSS THE BIG POND (you get what you pay for ) to see how long they would last ($29.34 EA.) #105296. Well they didn't last very long !!. When I got home I tried welding the blown out crimped muffler end cap seam using C25 gas with .024 wire, and I still got burn thru.-- that tells you how thin walled the muffler is !!. I'm going to order the OEM KOHLER PART# 237550S- approx. ($45.00 EA) and compare the two mufflers. If anyone is considering doing the conversion stick with born in the US of A parts !! ( at least I hope the OEM mufflers are made in the USA. ). I'll find out soon enough.

I ended up replacing the cheap crappy aftermarket mufflers with American made bullet type glasspack mufflers. The new mufflers are 14GA. steel as compared to 22GA. on the other ones, plus the new mufflers were less money. They are louder but are all welded construction, I've been running them for a week now and I think they will work out fine. Heres a few pictures of the new set up.

How much louder would you say compared to the PT's single? They look twice as nice as the other setup good job.

Great idea to convert over to duel exhaust to help keep heat out of the engine compartment, but what happened to the pictures on this thread showing the conversion??
