18.4-36 vs 18.4-34 on 4230 ??

Ive purchased a 4230 with worn 18.4-36 tires. I have found a company with a set of 18.4-34's on rims. The guy I talked to is not 100% sure that they came off a deere but they look identical to mine from what I can see in the pictures he sent. They are a 5 hour drive from me. Can anyone tell me if the 34 will work on the 4230 or do I need to stick with looking for used 36's ?
New ones are out of my budget.

youd have to talk to a dealer to see if the 18.4.34s would work in the place of 18.4.36s.the cheap 18.4.34s are $500 to $600ea depending on what ply tire you buy.

The 34s will not work if you do not have the center hubs too. That tractor should have 18.4X38 tires on it.

I have never heard of a an 18.4-36. Could they be 18.4-38?
What is posted above is correct. More often than not, the centers would be to big to fit a 34inch wheel on. YOu probably would have to change centers as well as rims.

I can't think of a 36" ag tire since the 30's and 40's so it must be a 38".

im pretty sure its 18.4.38 as well,because the the next tire up is a 18.4.42.

13.6/36 were very popular on smaller 60/70hp european tractors in the 70's and 80's I have a JD 2130 on them now !

4230 rowcrop's were sold new with either 34" or 38" rear tires depending on which tire size the dealer ordered.

Stick with the 38's. You will get much better traction and wear from them in the long run. 34's were real popular in the mid-west where the ground is flatter generally speaking.

Went back and checked again in the daytime and they are 38's ....... I did find quite a few 36's in my search though and as one person said 36's were very popular overseas it seems.

I was hoping the 34's would work ...... I had found 2 of them with 75% tread on rims for $450. Would have been a heck of a deal if they would have fit
