I put new ball bearings in when changing out the shaft for the 4wd on my tractor and the 4wd works but as soon as I get it under any load it goes out. When I pull the shaft the ball bearings are out. Any ideas as to why I can't keep these in.? The 4wd seems strong and front diff seems smooth when up on stands. Wondering is there is any kind of coupler or adapter out there to replace these ball bearings with a shear pin or something less sensitive or do I have a knuckle that's worn out or something causing this to keep happening.
