1702 bell housing

Does anyone know if a 1702-D bell housing would fit a 1720-D
I know that one is a ps.on the collum & the other is on the floor.
I got a call from someone trying to lift 3000 lbs with his 1720
and he cracked the bell housing
now he needs a new one,and I have a 1702,but I dont know if it will fit or not.

According to the parts manual (the 1702 and 1720 are in the same parts manual), they share the same gaskets, clutch linkages, t/o bearing parts, etc. There is no part number, that I can see, for the bell housing itself but ALL of the parts on the bell housing page show to fit the '02 and the '20. I'd bet my money that they would fit exactly.
