1610 Question

As a newbie tractor owner I really am impressed with my 1610 with FEL and rear scraper blade. Already spread 30 yds of compro on the front yard/cleared and graded back yard and extended driveway. Question is stowing my 3 pt hitch. When I raise the lever the blade drops right down. The only way that I can get it to stay up is to close the valve under the seat or adjust height setting stop ( screw and bushing with wingnut )on lever tract. Is this correct operation. I read in another post that if you close the valve under the seat and try to raise 3 pt you can shear a pin in the pump. Is there a adjustment that can be made to increase the friction on this lever to allow the hitch to stay up without doing any of this?

You should never leave or stow the 3ph in the raised position; however, it should remain in the raised position for a given period of time before bleeding off.
