Thanks for the pressure rating, i must have worded the question wrong what i am wanting to know is where is the actuall valve at so i can adjust it, to see if it makes a difference in loader performance. The way the loader is now i am very dissappointed with it, love the tractor but hate the loader.

What is the issue with the loader? Have you had your dealer look at it?

The loader just seems really under powered has hard time lifting normal items, that i feel that it should lift. The old ford 1320 that i had with 800lbs lift cap. would lift more than the MF will and it is rated at 1900lbs. Yes the dealer has looked at it and checked the pressure and everything checked out O.K.

Ryan,
Sorry, I read your post wrong.
What are you trying to lift?

With the pallet forks it will barely lift an 800lb round bale, or a 4' x 5' x 3' box of fire wood, or with the bucket it won't lift the bucket out of the dirt pile when you are still pushing into the pile, you have to stop backup a little and rev the tractor up and it will barly lift it out, it don't even sound like it's trying. It just seems like the relief valve popping to soon, because the pump or tractor don't labor or anything it just sits there. when you try to pick up something on the 3-point that it won't lift you can hear the pump and engine labor, but with the loader you don't hear anything

Are you running at rated speed (2600 RPM)? Many times I have seen people run tractors at much lower RPM's than rated and it will cause what you are saying. When you are digging in a dirt pile you also need to curl the bucket before you raise it. You need to do the same with your pallet forks. The further you get the load out in front, the lower your capacity will be. Just some suggestions.

Have your dealer look at it before you start to make adjustments.

Ryan:
Does this problem start after the tractor has been running for a while and the fluid has had a chance to reach operating temp?
Have you noticed any popping sounds in the lines or control head?

I was experiencing a similar problem with my FEL and apparently the dealer didn't put in enough fluid or bleed the lines when they did their predelivery inspection. As a matter of fact, there was no fluid showing in the rear sight glass at all.

However, once the problem was determined and taken care of, I haven't had any problems since.

Just a thought..

The farther the forks are out front the less lifting power you will have. Even 6" will make a big difference. If the bales have been setting out and have a lot of moisture, they may weigh a lot more.
As far as lifting dirt, try curling and lifting right before it bottoms out in the pile. Also, don't dip from the bottom. Take it from the top at the amount that will fill the bucket but no deeper.
Like another poster said; make sure to have the dealer check it before making any adjustments yourself.

Hi guys, well i got fed up with the loader performance and the dealer wasn't wanting to anything about it, so i took my ag mechanic experience and expermitted with the pressure relief valve alittle. So i crawled under the tractor, located the pressure relief adjustment on the loader valve. i then proceeded to turn the adjusting screw in a little. I then tryed the loader out and it performed perfect, it exceeds my expectations now, very pleased. The loader operations are smoother now without being jerky. I love the tractor/loader combination now.

Thanks
Ryan

The relief valve is under the tractor on the right side right under the loader joystick, that is if you have the traactor mounted joystick, Once i found it i simply turned the screw in, alittle at a time and tryed the loader untill i was happy with the performance. The tractor will now pick the rear end off the ground with loaded 17.5x24 rear r-4s and a 700lb blade on. I may have it turned up allittle to much.
