Backhoe 1538 with backhoe

This is the Co. Schow's Inc. The original salesman doesn't work there anymore.

Yes, I have the backhoe manual, that is what brought me here because I could see that things didn't match the manual.

I see now where you made your mistake.A trucking outfit selling tractors.Thats great. That company has no business selling tractors let alone working on them.I'll bet the techs there cant even spell trakter:laughing: I would call Mahindra directly and explain the situation. Get your DSR involved. This is a great example of Mahindra granting dealerships to companies that do not have the background and training. Its a shame you are so far away. I could have your tractor set up properly in an hour or so. Do you have another dealer in your area? FYI I would not use the BH till it is plumbed correctly!

I contacted the Mahindra dealer north of Provo Utah and explained all this to him. He gave me the name and number of the Mahindra representative for the entire West coast. I spoke with this guy and he contacted the regional rep for this area. I got a call from Boise Idaho and the rep explained some things to me that I guess makes sense.

The backhoe comes with everything to set it up for the tractor, and the hydraulics run off of the FEL valve and thus the need for the third line and looping it back on itself when the backhoe is off the tractor. On my tractor for some reason the local dealer didn't set it up this way and did a true remote with its own valve controlled by a lever on the right fender. Because it is not set up from the FEL valve I don't need the third hose.

?? I looked at the backhoe owners manual and mine is not set up the way it is in the installation instructions. So I guess I'm OK. ??

( I found my draw bar...didn't realize there is a special mount for it behind the seat.)

Am fairly sure that 3rd line is used for relief. This is the question you have to ask. Why is there a Hyd. kit for the BH plumbing that uses a 3rd line(tank)? Why dose the BH have 3 lines instead of two if the BH only requires 2? Using an AUX valve will work but you are going to loose a little power and most importantly you are going to generate access heat whistling that oil through a valve. What model BH is it?:confused3:

Running off a remote, you should be OK. I would check with the service manager in the area about the warranty though. I don't know what they would do if something DID go wrong since it's not plumbed per the manual. Tough gray area. I just don't know why they did all that extra work to install the remote and buy the parts to plumb it like that. Everything they needed was with the backhoe.

The people you spoke to at mahindra are blowing sunshine up your 6. Just spoke to my Mahindra DSR about your issue. As I suspected the BH dose relief into that tank line that is not connected. With the way its connected now your are putting excess pressure on the spools seals and hyd system. They will fail or the valve will fail at some point.Get it corrected. Get the kit from the dealer that you already payed for and put it on yourself.:bomb:

Perhaps I can talk to the manufacturer of the backhoe, someone mentioned Kansas Machine Works.
This really has me annoyed and I appreciate every ones help in here.

KMW can't do anything for you but tell you it needs that 3rd line set up to operate properly. This is the dealers responsibility. I would really call Mahindra in Texas and tell the what is going on with that dealer. Check your private. messages:thumbsup:

I mentioned a member on here who works for KMW. Like as not he going to tell you to install it as per the instructions that came with the backhoe. I think that is the consensus of opinion here.

Next time be careful who you make major purchases from. I shopped for my dealer as hard if not harder as I did for the tractor itself. This is not Mahindra's fault nor is it KMW's, it belongs to your dealer and even you for not looking a little harder before you jumped. Well I guess you could say that Mahindra isn't as careful as they should be in selecting dealers so there is some guilt by association too.

Well said Mr. Foster.
