1517 Reverse safety switch?

   / 1517 Reverse safety switch? #11
The bad thing about the reverse disconnect switch is that it puts and enormous amount of wear and tear on the mower clutch.

That was the first thing I did when I got my Cub. Other than being an outright pain-in-the-butt to have the mower quit every time the tractor reverses direction, I could tell that this wasn't doing the clutch any good. A friend who has a Cub but didn't disconnect the switch has gone through a couple of clutches. He has 600 hours on his.
