1510D Front axle movement

/ 1510D Front axle movement #11
Sorry for the previous pivot response, did not realize the direction of the pivot you were inquiring. There was no front to back pivot on mine when I was working on the front end. I did notice that the the pivot shaft plate and retaining bolts were new on my recon, so I would try for zero slop front to back. If you have a recon then you may want to check the tightness of the four retaining bolts that were previously mentioned by Cord, from my experience and others there seems to be a reoccuring theme of loose bolts. If the four bolts holding the plate on are tight then follow the expert advice already given. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like the consensus is this movement is not normal. Now I just need to make some room in the garage so I can work on it. I will post what I find and the solution.
